What You will Need:
How To Boil An Egg or Multiple Eggs
Whether you are boiling 1 egg or 12, the steps are Exactly the same! What You will Need:
- A Large Pot
- A Lid that fits the Large Pot
- Water
- Eggs (as many that will comfortably fit into the pot)
Let's Get Boiling!
- Fill a nice big pot (if you are using more than 2 or 3 eggs, otherwise, you can use a smaller pot. I always use a large sauce pot) with water
- Gently Place each egg into the pot of water (Yes, Before you even turn the stove burner on)
- Place the pot on a burner and set the burner to High (Do Not Leave the Stove While the Pot is Heating)
- Allow the water to get to a nice Rolling Boil (when the water is in FULL boiling action, the bubbles will literally look like their rolling in the water)
- As soon as the water gets to that Rolling Boil, Remove the pot from the hot burner and place it on a pot holder on the counter or on a cold burner that isn't being used—Turn Off the Burner You Were Using
- Immediately cover the pot with a lid
- Set a timer for 16 minutes and leave
- After 16 minutes, carefully strain the water from the pot
- When the pot is empty of all of the hot water (leaving the eggs in the pot), fill the pot with Cold water
- Let the eggs sit in the cold water for a few minutes
- They are now ready to be eaten or placed in a bowl and put in the refrigerator!
